Heh. I dunno hard to do ones for the animals. Maybe mix it up between quotes and brief histories to see what works best.

We all are on the lookout for the hackers/cheaters, why not make them come to us?

I know it's a horrible plan. But, what if, we hosted a hacked game. Put that in the name of it. Anyone who joins is knowingly playing a hacked map, and that would be grounds for being banned.

Yeah stupid plan. Random thought. Wanted feedback though, because at first it sounds stupid, but sorta makes sense if you think about it.

Edit: I thought I should make clear I'm not saying we should play it, and I'm not promoting it for us to play. Having a bot host it would be better, lure people on all servers, and not tempt anyone here from cheating. But then the obviously hacked characters could be easy to find. Just had bot trigger be "-" so load codes are just logged, and we could go over those to see if any action should be obviously taken. I'm not saying we should go over every code, I'm just spouting ideas, and I'm not saying they're all good, but an idea started many things in the past.

Proof of what? That they joined what they knew to be hacked map? Bots catch everything from IPs to when they say they sneezed in the lobby. Just watch the IPs + names of who joins and we can keep a nice list of IPs to ban on any hosting bots and the usernames to ban. If you want to make sure they actually have cheated characters, when they load have the bot catch them loading with the trigger being "-". I'm not sure if it catches this if you talk into observer chat, but I doubt anyone is quite that paranoid.

If nothing else we could join them once in a while, be purely legit (and probably shouldn't save just in case) and -pstats all that are above 950, or clearly have a hacked character. Replays would be easy if you have autosaving replays (it's a wc3 setting) and bot might be able to save replays too, not sure.

Personally If I made a map. I would actually make built in cheats, for the testing of heroes and such, that would require a unanimous vote to enable and would disable the save code. and if someone wanted to hack the map, so be it, their loss. But that's me, So for now. KILL THE BEAST!... err HACKER.

Though really they don't even deserve to be called hackers, they're simply using the work of a hacker, and couldn't hack if their lives depended on it.
