DC's sig doesn't include Blizzard's FAQ for nothing. And tbh, it's accurate in over 90% of cases. Probably 95%. When you start asking crap like "Can you modify the base WC3 engines?" you'll start heading into the "You're nuts" area of responses. But yeah, I've seen maps that modify terrain IN THE MAP. (It's a maze designer map.) That's just crazy powerful for the engine. I've seen one map that doesn't let you talk like you do in any other map. Instead, it'll go (Name) the (Hero) says "Blah", in the area where the game says stuff. So if that were in this, you'd be going {O)Sandman366 the Dark Summoner says: Why'd DC bother putting THIS in? It's impressive yeah but I think it was something I didn't actually like eventually..."} Then when you did -stats the stats would be in the same area as the chat. (It was funny if you did a cheat. It normally does {Name: Cheat enabled!} This did.... {Name: You have been added to the Banlist.} I just find that madly impressive) Anyway, now that I'll probably get whacked for mentioning another map and going so many references as proof that DC's sig is right almost all of the time, I feel like we're going off topic. It's a weather topic and we're talking about what DC can do in WC3 now.
I don't like the meteors stuff, because if it hurt you, it'd be probably rigged VS players (worse than Chaotic Snow) that are low levels, and not worth mention VS players that are high levels (might as well just have 2 Clears instead of Clear & Snow). An extremely weak Rain of Fire thing would be interesting, like 0.5% of hero HP drained per second or something (1%+ just seems too strong) and gives very weak pain to hero (slightly slows regen basically) for a bit after coming out of "the rain". (So like for another 30-60 seconds you take 0.1% HP damage or something). It's the Fires of Chaos, so perhaps the "Heavy Firestorm" (No?) could be like Rain of Fire (for "Firestorm") and Heavy would be Infernal colored fireballs. (Think Reign of Chaos look, Rain of Fire size fireballs. Or something like that. Okay...try Rain of Fire with green fireballs basically, if you wanna dumb it down a bunch)
