| I second Feist and Terry Goodkind, very good authors, dunno bout thought provoking but they provided me with a nice escape from reality for a few hours. Also James Clemens has some good ones. I've also read one of Farlans and it was pretty good. Havn't read any by the other two but i might look into it :P
