not at all, 12 hour shifts are common for certain jobs. Besides, that's really the only bad part about this job, the work schedule...Whenever I'm not on a call I can pretty much chill and sit back, relax and what not. I can take a break for food at any time as well, no starving myself while waiting for a certain scheduled lunch. I just get up and go, as much as i want so long as I'm ready for a call.
