| hey not sure if this is on forums but my friend and i play LAN when he brings his laptop over and when we go play online he cant seem to load his char i was thinking its just that you cant save/load while not connected to the internet please resond when you can i'd like to just know so we wont waste hours of our time playing offline in LAN

| i dont think you can load LAN heroes online o-o
or you need the same name like
Hero1234 cant load the code from the same person if his name was hero123

| Yeah the names have to be the same. I've played LAN a couple times and carried over into online, as long as you are in a multiplayer game it should work.

| yeah mine worked when im offline but i think its cuz my computer is hooked up to internet but i dont know maybe he just types the code wrong or sumthing caouse we both use the same names in local area as the names we use online. like we hook our computers up with a ethernet cord and play my computer has internet and his doesnt when we play. | Internet is nothing to do with it. Usernames need to be the same. I don't know about upper/lowercase, but I know order of characters doesn't matter. ('Sandman366' could be loaded by 'andSam366n'.)
Otherwise, the only thing is if it's using single/multiplayer save system. As long as the game registers 2 people, you get a code when you save. Doesn't matter if BNet or LAN or otherwise - if WC3 registers more than a single player, codes are enabled. (I mention this because if alone, saving to a code is disabled.)

| Yeah, something was probably wrong with the code.
What do you guys use? Write it down with paper? You should probably use a text (.txt) file, then you can just ctrl-c/(-load )ctrl-v into WC3.

| there was nothing wrong with his code he just had his name wrong he had Crystalknoct when his name online was crystalknoct it was just that capital C at the begginign of his name
