| I recently thought of ragnarok online. For those that dont know, ragnarok online had this cool guild system. In there, people could join the guild and then set a percent of xp to go towards the guild. For example, if you were a crusader, you could set 60% of your xp to go to the guild. So if you killed a monster that gives 100xp, you would gain 40xp on your char and 60xp would go to the guild. The guild could then improve with the xp it gains and buy stuff such as the capacity for more people, better stuff in these fights between guilds such as towers? i belive. havne't played ragnarok in a while. Whats cooler is that if you were max level, you could set 100% of your xp t go to the guild, so yuo theoretcally do stuff even after your max level. I thought its cool if its implemnted into the game... hm. Say for example you had a guild and you invite people into your guild. Those people can then set a percent of xp to go to the guild, and you can name your guild. THe members and name of the guild would be saved in your save code, and then with the xp you could buy better stuff... idk, just a randm thught. Havnt thought it out at all yet.

| Would not work in WC3. Hell, in SCU they'll be working hard for it to work for SC2, and need it to be based/maintained on a site because the only way to really maintain them would be to change the map itself. They'll be workin' hard to get it to work there.
Personally from what I understand of all they'll have to do to get it to work for SC2, then it'll take months to develop a proper system in WC3.

| the joining a guild thing would work o.o
ive played a map that had a clan system
after loading your char you get a choice between the clans (guilds) and after you choose the one you want or the one you joined you load the Guild code which gives you your rank/guild specific items and the rank system allows you to buy diffrent items from guild merchants :P

| yea in the save exp from mass amounts of players onto one thing is kinda hard lol
but the guild system where players can join a guild would work :P

| Sounds good if used for a mini-game like ragnarok's guild war thing. Might make pvp actually get used too.

| see, it would be better if it was made in sc2 because you can save their progress.. but in wc3 u have to force a save code.
SO for example, thats why i cant implement like lottery or whatnot, or pvp for % of plat or whatnor as people can jsut die and thise people can just reload their save.
Okay, so...
You can make a guild or something. Hmm.. this would eb tough to code What about you need all guild members in one game for the guild to be activated? ANd at certain levels you can gain xp bonus's if you have the guild xp to buy them...

| This is next to impossible in the original world editor, but JNGP has macros that can connect to a site/download stuff etc. I read up on it because there were maps that can actually download viruses if you play them. Back to point: I don't know how to use them, but theoretically you could set up a page on this site where you manage guilds, and then have the macros in the map handle it when people play.
You could do the same for save codes, but there are certain loop-holes there, like saving multiple characters, repicking and hacking. Hacking may be fixed by issuing a server-side check on several file attributes like size, last changed etc, but that's another story. Might even try this out some day.

| Your makign it more complicated than it has to be. Im thinking you people are thinking that even if people are in different games, the guild xp from each player gained is added to a total amount?
Also the map downloading viruses was fixed by blizzard in some patch.
But it would be cool if we somehow made a system in wc3 that somehow saves every action you do.... but i think thats impossible... even with macros. Unless Alexeng is a god at coding and suceeds were no one has succeded before?
sc2 is much better at this with banks.

You said Single Player saves in registries....or something. Idea.
Throw single player save out (it's not like it's very useful) and instead use that space for these force-saved characters. PLUS, if this COULD work well, then we could have a character saved that we don't need a code for =D
-savesp anyone? (save special) Saves to registry (or where ever SP saves atm, I'm guessing somewhere in WC3 files) and also could be loaded from there in multiplayer!
If you think it would be bad because someone could hack it to work in SP too it's not like it matters...'cuz SP save wouldn't exist and you can probably just mod the current map to see multiple people 100% of the time anyway
