Critical Strike: Items / Abilities with a critical Strike Chance:
-Initiate of Ares 10% chance to do 2 times normal Damage
-Follower of Ares 10% chance to do 2.5 times normal Damage
-Precise Throw (jave skill) 15% chance to do 2.5 times normal Damage ( lvl 6)
-Shadow Gear Invisible Bonus: 5% for 10x normal Damage (not sure)
ok if you have one of these items above its quite easy
to calculate the bonus dmg:
0.9 * Damage + 0.1 * Damage * Multiplier = "Improved Damage"
e.g. for Follower of Ares with 300 average Damage:
0.9 * 300 + 0.1 * 300* 2.5= 345 ( = 115% of Normal Damage)
If you have two or more items from above its getting complicated:
lets say you've got 1x Initiate of Ares and 1x Follower of Ares
(you bad, bad Buguser :P)
so there is once a 10% chance for 2x Damage and also a 10% Chance for 2.5x Dmg
From the diagramm you can see that
10% of your attacks will deal 2.5x Damage (9%+1% --> The greater Bonus count)
9% of your attacks will deal 2x Damage
81% of your attacks are normal attacks
So with 2 Items your real Damage should be:
0.1 * Damage * 2.5 + 0.09 * Damage * 2 + 0.81 * Damage = "Improved Damage"
With 300 Average Damage:
0.1 * 300 * 2.5 + 0.09 * 300 * 2 + 0.81 * 300 = 372 ( = 124% of Normal Damage)
With 3 Items you will have about 8 diffrent possibilities how the items can proc,
feel free to calculate it :D, i think 2 items are enough at this place.
At least i want to add that some of you might think that if you got one of
these items and hit an enemy e.g. 200 times that 20 strikes of these 200
must be crits ( 200 * 0.1 = 20).
If you try it and really hit an enemy 200 times you will see that you sometimes get more
crits and sometimes not. When you do these strikes you will get with a chance of 99%
about 9-31 critical strikes.
Calculation( just for those who want some braindamage :ugeek: :P):
To explain this calculation completly would take too much time and text so here
is only the short form
P=0.1
Q=0.9
N=200
Z=2.58 (N * P) - (((N * P * Q) ^ 0.5) * Z)= 9.05
(N * P)+ (((N * P * Q) ^ 0.5) * Z)= 30.95
again i will note that i copy pasted this from the TBR forums. the guy did a bang up job explaining this.
